At ThermoProgress, we respect your privacy. This policy clearly explains what data we collect, why and how we protect it. If you have any questions, feel free to contact us.

1. Information We Collect

When you create an account on ThermoProgress, we collect the following information:


Identification information : email address, first name, last name.
Usage data : thermometers created, entries recorded, reports generated.
Payment data : processed exclusively by Stripe. We do not store any banking information on our servers.
Technical data : IP address, browser, operating system, pages visited, session duration.
Communications : if you contact us by email or via the contact form, we retain your messages.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use your data for the following purposes:


Provide, operate and improve our services.
Manage your account and subscription.
Send you service notifications (payment confirmation, configured alerts).
Respond to your support requests.
Analyze platform usage (aggregated and anonymized).
Comply with our legal obligations.

We do not use your data for advertising purposes and never sell your personal information.

3. Data Sharing

We only share your data with third parties strictly necessary for the operation of the service:


Supabase : database hosting and authentication (servers in Canada).
Stripe : secure payment processing.
Resend : sending transactional emails (confirmations, alerts).

These providers act as subcontractors and are contractually required to protect your data. We never share your data with advertisers or data brokers.

4. Data Retention

We retain your personal data as long as your account is active. If you delete your account:


Your personal data is deleted within 30 days.
Some data may be retained longer if required by law (e.g. accounting data).
Anonymized and aggregated data may be retained indefinitely for statistical purposes.

5. Data Security

The security of your data is our priority:


SSL/TLS encryption for all data transmissions.
Passwords hashed with bcrypt (never stored in plain text).
Hosting on secure infrastructure in Canada.
Strict access control (Row Level Security on our database).
Regular security audits.

Despite our efforts, no system is infallible. In the event of a security breach affecting your data, we will notify you within the timeframes required by law.

6. Compliance with Quebec Law 25

Law 25, officially entitled "An Act to modernize legislative provisions as regards the protection of personal information" (formerly Bill 64), came into force progressively since September 2022. ThermoProgress fully complies with this law.

Explicit consent : We obtain your clear consent before any collection, use or disclosure of your personal information.
Accessible policy : This privacy policy is publicly published and written in plain language.
Right to portability : Upon request, we will provide your personal data in a structured, commonly used technological format.
Right to de-indexation : You may request the deletion or de-indexation of personal information about you when its disclosure infringes on your right to privacy.
Privacy impact assessments (PIAs) : We conduct impact assessments when developing or modifying systems that collect personal data.
Privacy incidents : In the event of a breach presenting a serious risk of harm, we are committed to notifying you and reporting the incident to the Commission d'accès à l'information (CAI) within the legal deadlines.
Data minimization : We only collect information strictly necessary for the stated purposes.

7. Your Rights

In accordance with Quebec Law 25 and applicable legislation, you have the following rights:


Right of access : obtain a copy of your personal data.
Right of rectification : correct your inaccurate information.
Right to erasure : request the deletion of your account and data.
Right to portability : receive your data in a structured, readable format.
Right to object : object to certain processing of your data.

8. Cookies and Similar Technologies

ThermoProgress uses functional cookies essential to the proper functioning of the service (session, language preferences). We do not use advertising or third-party tracking cookies.

We may update this privacy policy periodically. In the event of significant changes, we will notify you by email or via a banner on the platform at least 30 days before the changes take effect.
